Puerto del Carmen Property

The Puerto del Carmen property market is the biggest in Lanzarote. Reason being that Puerto del Carmen is the biggest tourist resort in Lanzarote established for over 20 years.

The area will very soon have its own golf course, the second on the island after the Costa Teguise golf course.

Puerto del Carmen in the Canary Islands in Lanzarote has historically been a very popular holiday destination for many european tourists and people looking to buy property overseas or for property investments in Spain. While the weather in Puerto del Carmen makes people flock to Puerto del Carmen in Lanzarote, they stay for the miles of golden sandy beaches, the unspoilt coves and the wonderful nightlife that Lanzarote is famous for, as well as fine dining restuarants, lively bars and even more!
The beaches in Puerto del Carmen in Lanzarote stretch for mile upon mile from the fabulous beaches of the Playa Fariones to the majestic beaches of the Playa Grande and the Matagorda in Lanzarote. The crystal clear waters of the island of Lanzarote are clean, calm and safe, making Lanzarote a great place to go diving or to do watersports in the Canary Islands. There are several small rocky coves and bays that are nothing short of picture perfect.

Puerto del Carmen's Old town in Lanzarote is home to a beautiful and lively marina with traditional charm and Canary Islands Character and exhuberrance. The lively bars and restaurants, the interesting shops and more make the old town of Puerto del Carmen a great place to visit and a great place to live. Puerto del Carmen also has a brand new shopping centre called Biosfera where you can find Zara, Timberland, Levi's, footlocker and many other shops. On the Main Avenida de Las Playas is where all the action is in Lanzarote with late night clubs, bars and much more, ideal for the party animals among you!

Puerto del Carmen also offers some ideal properties in Lanzarote for familes with some excellent Villas, Townhouses and apartments for sale in Puerto del Carmen to choose from. The Lively lanzarote town of Puerto del Carmen has everything from Crazy golf courses and lots of family orientated things to do and see, the local government in Puerto del Carmen also keeps the area clean and modern looking making puerto del carmen and excellent place to buy property for sale in Lanzarote.

Puerto del Carmen has almost 6 kilometres of golden sandy beaches, the area offers watersports, glass bottom boat trips, as well as countless shops, bars and restaurants located along the Avenida de Las Playas. For those on self catering breaks, you will never be more than a few hundred yards from either a McDonalds, Wimpey, Burger King, KFC, Pizza Hut etc, and you will never starve as long as you have money in your pocket. If you do ever tire of fast food, and in all fairness to the resort, you'll also find a number of more traditional cafes and restaurants along the seafront.

The original fishing harbour and Puerto del Carmen "old town", still exists towards the southern end of the resort, where you can spend a very relaxing afternoon watching the fishing boats come and go and the few remaining locals playing boules in the nearby square. All this however, is overshadowed by the newer and more modern tourist resort, most of which was only developed in the early 1990's to accommodate the increasing demand for holiday accommodation on the island. Building work is still going in some parts on the outskirts of the town, and undoubtedly at some time during their stay, visitors will certainly witness some degree of construction works going on, although in all fairness much of this is now low key and should not spoil a holiday.
